The continual flow of the never ending parade is so much fun at Illuminaries. But next year (now that we have finally achieved lantern status) we plan on arriving much earlier and staking out some ground space like these people have here.

Illuminari festival!

Who can resist a festival of lights in a local park. This year for the first time we brought lanterns. Even though The Symphony of fire was happening the same evening, 30,000 some odd people still showed up at Trout lake for this fun family event. I wish Hannah could have been here for this one... she would go nuts with all the lights.

A quick trip to OK Falls

Poppy on the new dock. Ma & Pa. And a toxic sunset... ha ha Aunt Margit is out visiting from Ontario for a month, looking forward to her and my Mom coming down for a little visit. I had fun spending the weekend with them. Me and Margit even joined my Mom at her Dragon Boat practice (whoa, 2 hours of paddling is a lot)
The giant cup was left over from last years winning Dragon Boat season for my Mom's team. She is giving it away as a prize at her party. I believe it is for a floaty race, very exciting. Sad I missed it, but I wanted to be back in Van for the Illuminari festival.

So the question is... how many guys, can you cram like sardines, into a camoflage plane, with a painted on grimmace? Apparently alot if none of them are planning on landing with the plane. (still working on the skydive photos) Posted by Picasa

I've got Kevin installing our bedroom air conditioner as we speek. Our poor kitties were way to hot yesterday, and unlike us they can't go to the lake for a swim (me, Laura, Kevin, Robert, and Cody hit Buntzen last night). Monty(my long hair kitty) was laying around panting. I gave him a bath to cool him down. Never heard him yowl like that before... Big bash tonight, and don't worry boys more jump photos are still coming Posted by Picasa
