Foosball Party

Kris and Aids decided to purchase a foosball table the same weekend we were up getting Kevin settled in. Needless to say a foosball party was absolutely necessary!

Our New Home

Well its official. Kevin is now a resident of Westbank, BC. We called Dave T. the other week and asked if we could rent his basement suite. He wasn't really ready for tenants, but we needed a place, so he let us go up and get Kevin settled. Over the next month him and Kevin will finish the suite before I official move up too. (Kev gets to live the bachelor life for a while) Kev brought one of our futons, the small TV, his laptop, the TV trays and the camp dishes. I guess that means he's all set for a little while. This is our view (as seen from our bedroom, the kitchen, or Dave's deck and hot tub) It's beautiful here. I'm so excited. Posted by Picasa

Any party that ends with someone wearing an empty case of beer on their head must be a good party!

Wild Kitties

One thing I will miss about this neighborhood is all the Kitties. Our building is very cat friendly, and in our neighbors garden their is always some wild cats living. A woman we know only as the Cat lady comes by and feeds them. She is the only one that they will get remotely near to, and even around her they are very skittish. They wait for food to be presented and her to back off a bit before eating. This particular cat has been hanging out since we first moved in. Posted by Picasa

Hannah's 2nd Birthday

Hannah's birthday was a load of fun. It was also when me a Kevin decided to make the plunge and move to the Okanagan. The previous weekend we had been looking at real estate in New Westminster, we even went to the bank and got pre-approved for a morgage. By Tues we had second thoughts about a permanent home in the lower mainland. On Wed he sent out some resumes, and Thursday he got a phone call for an interview. Sat afternoon before the party we drove to Kelowna for him to meet with Tops, and they made an acceptable offer. So not only did we get to celebrate Hannah's birthday that evening, but also the decision to move to Kelowna. How exciting. Here is everyone about to eat Hannah's cake. Posted by Picasa

Hannah turns 2, and what do you know she likes presents!
Oh yeah, and cake too...

A night to remember

We took a quick jaunt out to Chilliwack for an evening. A little visit. Tammy, Jamie, Troy and Dave came over, and we all had a drink and a hot tub. Dave was hungry so he climbed out to go order a pizza, when we came inside he was disoriented and very pale, and had no idea what was going on. It wasn't until the next morning that we were able to piece together that he must have over heated in the hot tub, and when he went inside he passed out and gave himself a concusion on the kitchen table. In the moring he had the bruises to prove his mishap. Unfortunately the whole day is erased from his memory. Paula now says that he is not allowed to come out and play with us unless he is wearing a helmet (One of the things he forgot was that he had purchased a new snowboarding helmet earlyer that afternoon) Posted by Picasa
